Going in circles

I think this sums up exactly how I feel today. Totally overwhelmed. WE get the keys to the manse on Monday and the house - our house is just totaled. And I feel so stressed by it all. The more stressed I feel the more I avoid doing it and the bigger the job gets. Arrgggghhh. My friend Tina is going to come and help me next week and Mum might come tomorrow. That will be great. But I just need to pull my blinking finger out and start. Ok the first step is to get off here and DO IT.

Brainstorm 8 titles to your autobiography.

I found an imagination prompt site and thought I would take the plunge and see what I could come up with.

1. Can I have a panadeine please?
2. Daughter of the King.
3. What time can we eat?
4. It's all about ME ME ME!
5. ME ME ME ME ME
6. The Douglas Bunch
7. I came, I saw I conquered.

8. She certainly was loud.

I have
also started getting interested in art journaling. Now I know I don't have a great deal of talent but it actually is a GREAT way to express myself and allow myself to vent. I am enjoying it at the moment. This is my first effort.

This is a layout I did for a challenge at a digital scrapbooking forum. I don't love it but it was fun working with circles and making my text go in a circle.

It is so hot here today. Jim has gone to the beach with the youth and the kids and I have stayed home. In our new house we will have air con. Woo hoo.

We went swimming at the Sydney Olympic pool yesterday and the kids loved it. Charli got a bit cold but the other three were in heaven. It has a whirlpool and the boys and cate thought it was divine. I liked it too but man my legs got a work out from all the running I was doing. LOL. Plus I didn't really enjoy the up close and personal bit that we had going with the 2000 other people that came in the whirlpool at the same time. It was SOOOOO packed there. I think my favourite place was the baby pool. I could sit and chill there while the girls splashed about. Ahhhh bliss. I think we will be going there again soon.

Hamishs Birthday Party.

Well Hamish had his birthday party last weekend. He shared his party with Jordan Cameron. And it was the most fantastic party ever. Heidi, Jordys mum did nearly all of it and it was impressive. She color coordinated all the balloons, streamers, table cloths, plates and had the park looking like a party wonderland. When we drove up from the road you could see the park and it literally took your breath away it looked so amazing.

We had enough food to feed the 35 kids plus loads loads more. Yes thats right 35 kids. Thats why we had it in the park. LOL. There was a pinata. We played tug of war and had egg and spoon races, plus pin the hat on the fireman.

The cake was just out of this world, Heidi had said she would make a cake big enough for both boys, she also said she wasn't so great with cakes. When the cake was unveiled I nearly fell over, it was the biggest, fanciest home made cake I have ever seen. I think all 35 kids gasped in delight as well.

Hamish got more presents from his party than he got at Christmas time. He just had a really lovely day. We did too. Ok so thats one down three to go. Although Cates birthday is five days after Mooeys, But thats another post.

Happy Birthday Hamish

Yes hard to believe but Mooey is 6 today. He is such a lovely boy, he looked at each present he received and wasn't overkeen to get to the next one. What he really wanted was a new best friend for Jeremy and so we brought him a robot beany baby. Here is a picture of Jeremy and his new best friend Robo.

Jeremey also got a bath for Hamish's birthday which was a present for the whole family. Hamish also got a transformers dress up costume, a NinJa Turtle and a transformer toy. He just kept saying over and over thanks so much mum, I love my presents so much. Such a sweetheart. Well today anyhow.

I remember the jubilation the day he was born, after I had the C section that is. LOL. His birth was the one where it took them 2 1/2 hours of prodding me in the back with a needle trying to get the spinal block in and then going too high and numbing me from about the shoulders down so I had to go on oxygen because I couldn't breath by myself. Oh and having a reaction to the medicine and hearing them say as my entire world went black and white - we're losing her. LOL. But when he was finally born he was crying and they held him up for me too look at and when I said hello little baby he stopped crying, opened his eyes and looked at me. It was a very precious moment. We thought we couldn't have any more babies and here he was our second child. Little did we know that we were not finished and would go on to have TWO MORE. What were we thinking? Obviously not the right things. LOL.

Well Happy birthday Dear Hamish, I hope all your dreams come true.

Parent Help Good times

I started parent help again today. Reading groups with the kindy's. I just can't believe how quite they are compared to last years class. They are all very different children (of course) and Amanda handles them so well. I was so pleased for her. I got to play thread the beads with the kids that was kind of fun.

I also went to prayer group today. That was great. Those woman are just so precious. I really enjoy my time at prayer group. Bailey was pretty foul this morning. I forgot to give him his tablets and boy did it show. His teacher was saying to me at recess. Wow it is like he is a different boy. LOL. She is a great teacher I am very blessed to have her teaching him. Thank you God for Jodie Dagan.

I have been getting into the digitial scrapbooking but this week I am going to have a go at a challenge at EMM about Valentines Day. I am not really into Valentines day but it sounds like a fun competition. A card and a layout by Friday. Fingers crossed that I can do that.

I went to the craft fair on Saturday with Sarah, the company was great and the fair was just average, so many people squeezing in everywhere. I LOVED the paper tole things and think that I may have to give that a whack very very soon. I got one of those new doodle templates and a great Maya Road chipboard book to turn into a prayer journal. Yahooo.

Well it has been raining here all day, good for the drought, bad for the washing. This is Janet and Richards last week at church this week, their farewell dinner is on Saturday night and their last service is on SUnday. I hope it all turns out for them like they want it too. And that Janet settles in well at the new church.

An exciting time ahead for the church. With Fred coming to be the intentional interim pastor. Hopefully the people will really embrace this time and get a lot out of it. Hopefully Jim and he will work really well together too.

Ok gotta go. Talk to you soon.

The boys are back at school. There is a GOD.

So okay the kids are finally back at school and during the day it is just the girls and I. I am loving it. The house is so quiet. I clean and it stays clean at least until 3.30 when my munchkins arrive and the stress starts all over again.

Mooey is loving kindy again although he is still playing with his year one friends. I am glad that he has settled in so well. I think I was more stressed than he was.

Bailey is in Year Four and according to his teacher Mrs Dagan he is working really hard and doing well. Woohoo. Yesterday I had a mother call me and tell me that Bailey had given her son a Playstation 2 game to keep. Ok. The game was James's and we had to get it back pronto. He was trying to be nice and make friends. Had to explain that it is only good to give your own things away and then only if mum and dad say yes. LOL

I have been really getting into the digital scrapbooking and learning a few techniques from PSP8. Loving it. I also scrapped some recipe cards for a swap that I am doing at EMM. I don't love them but they are adequate. I just hope the other women don't hate them. I am also involved in a easter bunny swap at EMM and that should be fun too. I have to hand make something so I am going to have to put my thinking cap on.

Tomorrow Sarah - a girl from church, and I are going to go to the Papers and Stitches craft show. I won two free tickets, so we will whip down there and have a geezer.

Bailey started playing the drums in the school band and tomorrow has his first lesson with Josh Hill. Exciting stuff. We are getting all organised for Hamish's shared birthday with Jordan Cameron. Should be fun. There will be about 30 kids there, but it is in a park so I am not too worried. If it rains we will go to the church hall. One of the perks of being married to a minister I guess. But I have to organise that or else someone else will be using it.

Well that is my boring life again. Hope you are enjoying this blog. I sure am. If you read it, why don't you just make a comment so I can know who is here and who is not. Love ya love ya love ya. Naomi
