More fairy magic

This is our new fairy home, that was made with lots of love. We think it is just beautiful. What do you think?

Last night to celebrate our new fairy home we waited up to see if we could find any fairys. And guess what? We did. Here is the first beautiful one.
And then we found another gorgeous one. It was very exciting.
This fairy was almost jumping for joy.
But sadly as the night hour grew longer one of the fairys became very very cranky and had to go to bed. She was very tired and very CRANKY.

Fairy furniture delight

The girls and I have been quite taken with the idea of a fairy garden. I have spent lots of time looking at ideas on the Internet and found some so gorgeous things to make with the girls. There was one site called Magic Onions which showed how to make fairy furniture. SO I made a fairy bed out of a piece of bark and twigs for legs and then we made a petal bed cover to go on top. Very sweet but not pictured here.

I also decided that even though apparently fairies prefer natural things to duck down to Spotlight for some glam fairy things. All these jewelry pieces were on sale and so I hot glue gunned the girls a heart chair and a butterfly chair. They turned out really sweet. I also made a fairy flower table. To put their rhubarb pie on.

The rhubarb pie were an idea also found on Magic Onion. But were taken from a site called WHIMsy. So so cute. We made them at work with the oldies and they really look real. I am very happy with them.

I also made a fairy flower carpet to help create atmosphere as well as a few extra tables for the pies and voila we have a tiny fairy garden. The girls love it, I love it. I want to make more. I think I will. The only problem is they are so delicate that they keep snapping legs off things. Oh well it is for the kids. I won't be precious about it. Just keep the glue gun handy.

If I was a fairy I would go here for sure.

Wow that photo really made me feel dizzy. How about you?

So you can see what I have been up to. How about yourself?
Any sympathy will be greatly appreciated. LOL. I am feeling a bit better now. Out of bed at least. Although I wouldn't mind hoping back in.

Our Market Stall

We had a Market Day at work today and our little unit made up a stall. Here are some of the things that we made or that were donated. How gorgeous are those wooden hand made toys? We all fell in love with them.

These are to hang as decorations on your deck or in your garden. Also hand made by us.

Cute little door hangers for a kiddies room.

And my most fave things of all our little painted door stops. How cute are they? They all sold out. My fave was the granny with the teddy and hot water bottle, but the swimming cossie old lady was sweet too.
I love this one. I really had a hard time selling her. One lady tried to buy her and I put her away, I did sell her in the end. I will have to make some more.
Here is Sue with a bigger look at the stall. We had tutus - they were all sold. Lots of beautiful baby hats and jumpers, all kinds of sweet sweet stuff.

Crafty crafty crafty.

Caitlin is attending a tea party at the local gardens next Saturday and I decided that for the present I would make the girl her own tea party in a basket. I am going to go down to the op shop and buy an old picnic basket and spray paint it pink. Then I am going to add a ribbon to it. Then I will buy a 2 real cup and saucer sets ( doesn't matter if they get broken but I think she will enjoy real cups and saucers.)

I have started crocheting all different kinds of tea party foods. I will take some pictures when they are finished. I am in the process of making a lemon meringue pie slice,
there will be a slice of cherry pie.

Some iced biscuits. A whole heap of little chocolates that come in their own little wrappers. Some strawberries
and little little cakes that are just so sweet. I think she will like this present. Caitlin does.

We are having a market stall at work in August and we have been busy making items to sell. On Wednesday two of the ladies and I made the most gorgeous Tutu out of tulle and lace so so sweet. We also made a tiny new born one for one of our staff who is having a granddaughter in a few weeks. We have made finger puppets, little girls hats,
lavender sachets, knitted coat hangers. and my co worker is about to start a whole heap of wood work with the men. It should be a successful stall.

All the patterns for the food and hat came from ravelry.com. You can find them in my list on the right hand side of my blog.

School holidays are done and dusted

SO it has been three weeks since the kdis started their holidays. They have had a good time but on Monday they go back to school. I really have some goals for this term. Goals that probably every other family automatically do but we have not done for a long time, and I think it will help our family run a lot smoother.

1. Keep to a routine. Chores, homework, free time etc
2. Do homework every single night and HAND it in.
3. Read every single night with the kids.
4. Have one room of the house that I clean each afternooon when I get home from work, no matter how tired I am.
5. Putting their uniforms out the night before so there is no running around looking for things in the mornings.

If we can stick to these things I think things will go a lot smoother. I think I can I think I can I think I can I think I can.
