Accident prone

Now you can't really see it so much in this photo but this is the only photo we have. Bay was playing on the climbing equipment at school. He was actually playing tip. The other child caught him just as he was jumping off and pulled him backwards. He fell back and smashed his knee straight into his mouth. He loosened three adult teeth and ripped his lip off. Apparently there was blood everywhere. He only cried for a few minutes and then he was very very brave after that. James took him to the hospital and after giving him four needles in the roof of his mouth they gave him four internal stitches and four stitches to sew his lip back together. The DR said that if it had been just one millimeter over he would have had to have plastic surgery. Phew. As it is he has to go and see the dentist about his loose teeth. The DR said he is hoping that they will restrengthen.

He is fine now. Still has the stitches and needs to be careful. But fine. He is a very brave boy.

Ok it is official

I got my first aid certificate today. It took two days and lots of fun and information. But I got it. Hope I never have to use it though.

Here is Caitlin at her schools olympics competing in the 200m sprint. That tongue thing must be genetic, I stick mine out when I am concentrating too. Although running and sticking it out is a bit dangerous. I must speak to her about that. Although I do have my first aid now and I could treat her.

Here is a photo of Minnie our dog with Hamish, in case Amanda is still looking at her. She is such a good dog, although she poops in the girls room which is kind of annoying.

It was bookweek at school today. Hamish went as King David from the Bible, which I was very pleased about.

Bailey went as Christian from Pilgrims Progress. I was very pleased with the cape, I made it myself last night.

Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi

How great is this girl? She has swam so amazingly I have been very impressed.

Now how about the opening ceremony? I was really impressed with all the drummers at the beginning but after that I kind of lost interest. I still think they did a great job though.

What about this poor little poppet?

Not allowed to show her face because she is ugly. Pulease she is cute. Admittedly not as cute as the girl who sung but still she sings like a little angel and should have had her moment of glory. Merrick and Rosso were saying the other day that with all the people in China they couldn't find a cute kid who could sing, dance and fly? We did in Sydney 2000.

And haven't these guys been impressive?

I must admit I haven't watched a lot of the Games but each day when I get home this event seems to be the one that is on. I can't imagine jumping head first off those high towers in my cossies, let alone doing it with someone else at the same time. My hat go's off to them. I am so sporty. LOL.

Which style are you?

I found this quiz on How about Orange and decided to take it and see what my style would be.

This is my style. LOL in my fantasy world I think. As long as it is clean, not broken and smells good I would be happy.

Getting into the Olympic Spirit

Everyone is gearing up for the Olympics. It is a shame that they are on so late here tonight but hopefully the children will get to watch replays tomorrow.

We are getting ready for Baileys 11th birthday this weekend. Should be fun. It has a very heavy Lord of the rings feel. He is totally into the Hobbits.

I had two days off work this week with a terrible migraine. Hopefully things will get back into the swing of things soon. My friend Sally told me about Google Street View the other day. It is kind of weird to be able to put someones address in and be able to see their home. But kind of fun at the same time. If you know what I mean. LOL.

Here is the hat I made.

This is the hat I made for Charli to keep her head warm at school. I also made a burgundy one for Cate. Funnily enough Cate's is smaller than Charli's. I have also made some really cute little slippers for a little boy who was just born at church. I haven't taken a photo yet but I will. I am off to buy some flannel today to make some sweet little baby blankets too. Creative creative creative.
