If money didn't matter, what job or career would you go for?

Wow if money didn't matter makes the mind boggle doesn't it? I don't think I would want to go into any secular job but I would love to go into ministry. For women and children. Encouraging them in their lives, having classes on how to cook. budget, parent, grow in God, enjoy their lives. And programs for the children to learn about God and have fun. As the children got older it would be cool to offer courses that they could learn lifeskills from as well. To have homes for young teen girls whose lives had gone a bit off course. To have families living with them, to help them feel accepted and to seek guidance from. And especially to direct them to God. That would be awesome. So so awesome. Then we would need people from the church to be running these programs and training others so that the work could continue on. Training, teaching, living, loving. Wiser women from the church who could mentor these women. Older teens to encourage the kids. Skilled people to teach the lifeskills needed. Older prayer warriors to pray continually for the whole thing. Older people in the church to take on Grandparent roles and bring delight and joy to the families. Yep I think that is what I would do.

Happy Easter Sunday

Outside my window... I can hear my kids squealing and laughing as they bounce on the trampoline. I can only imagine what all that chocolate is doing. Best to jump the sugar out before Church I think.
I am thinking... that I need to go and get ready for church.

I am thankful for... Christs love and sacrifice for me on this Easter Sunday.
From the kitchen... I have a roast beef. Baked potatoes, cauliflower and broccoli in cheese sauce, peas. MMMM
I am wearing... T shirt and trakkies
I am reading... Sacred Marriage by Gary Thomas. Excellent I might add. Plus I am reading Circle of Friends by Maeve Binchy. I love her.
I am hoping... That the kids will be settled during the service today and I remain calm and happy.
I am creating... I have been enjoying painting lately, plus I have been making lots of presents for birthday parties.
I am hearing... Silence at the moment which makes me a tad nervous. What are those kids up to?
Around the house... Acck don't even go there.
One of my favorite things... Lying on my bed reading with some good chocolates on hand.
A few plans for the rest of the week... I am trying to get organised for Bailey to go to hospital this week. Organising child care and time schedules plus activities to keep him and me occupied.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...
The Glory of Christ - Easter Day 2008 by Stephen B Whatley.
Mark 16:6 (The Message)

6-7He said, "Don't be afraid. I know you're looking for Jesus the Nazarene, the One they nailed on the cross. He's been raised up; he's here no longer. You can see for yourselves that the place is empty. Now—on your way. Tell his disciples and Peter that he is going on ahead of you to Galilee. You'll see him there, exactly as he said."

How gorgeous is this artwork? I love it. I hope you all have a special Easter time with your family and friends. What a mighty God we serve. Remember Jesus is the reason for the season. The Easter buuny is cool but Jesus Rocks.

Sorry it has been so long since I last blogged. Now that my children are getting older I rarely get a chance to hop on the computer at all. I check my emails at 6 am before I get ready for work and that is basically it for the day.

We had church camp last week and that was LOTs of fun. Charli won the best dancer at the bush dance. The boys especially Hamish LOVED playing tennis and the whole thing was just generally relaxing and enjoyable.

Bay has been sick this week. I am the only one at work now so that is stressfull, busy busy busy, I need my life to SLOW DOWN now.

I have been making some artwork that I have been enjoying. Maybe one day I will even post a photo. Until then................don't hold your breath.

Find yourself waiting... with not much to do but, well, wait... here's a super fun time-waster.

1 - Go to "wikipedia random" the article title is the name of your band.
2 - Go to random quotes, the last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.
3 - Go to the flickr random generator, the third picture is your album cover.
4 - Use photoshop or similar to put it all together.

1. Big Foots reunion. MY BAND NAME

2. Those that bring it to the Fore MY FIRST SONG

The cover picture for my album.
3.

I can't put it all together but I really like the cover and the name of my first song. I think my band name rocks.

If you click on the photo it will take you to the site of the person that took the photo. Beautiful photo by the way.

Munsey comes to visit

This is the excerpt that I wrote and stuck into the Book of Munseys Amazing adventures. I thought you might like to take a little peek as well.

This weekend Munsey the Monkey came to stay with the Douglas;s. Everyone was terribly excited to finally have Munsey come to our home. He was a wonderful house guest and we LOVED getting to know him better. Here are just a few of our favourite times with Munsey.

These are our friends the Hallams. Sarah is Caitlins Sunday 4 Kids teacher. Munsey really enjoyed climbing the Hallams trees. It reminded him of his Africa Days.

Munsey even took Ted up the tree to show him the view.

Caitlin climbed up too and thought it was SO SO funny.

They started getting sillier and sillier until.............

SPLAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Down we came. Luckily the ground was nice and soft because of all the rain. Monkeys are very good at crash landings. But you must always be careful when you are climbing trees. Caitlin said we had done enough climbing after that.

Munsey made a lot of friends at our house. There were lots and lots of kids to play with. They all wanted a turn with me. SO much that sometimes my legs got pulled a little bit. But thats ok. It just means I am popular.

Can you tell which feet are Munseys? It's pretty tricky.

Munsey made some new friends and enjoyed a quick Bible Study.

Caitlin didn't mind helping us when we had some questions about the story. She loves the Bible too.

Caitlins dog Minnie was a bit too friendly to Munsey and on the first morning attempted a kidnapping. But after a good chase by Mrs Douglas returned me to Caitlin and we had to keep an eye on Minnie.

I don't think her intentions were good. I could have been licked to death.

After all the adventure and fun we fell fast asleep. Thanks for visiting us Munsey. You were a great reward for Caitlin. She loved having you there. So did we.

The last week has been incredibly sad.

So many lives have been lost in such a sad sad way. I can't even imagine what these people are going through. The stories we have been hearing have been horrific. It is so good to see the nation rallying together to help ease these peoples sorrow.
