Drama at the Douglas Home

The kids were outside playing on the trampoline when Caitlin came in absolutely screaming. She was all sweaty and clammy and as I gave her hug I felt something sticky on my face. Yep it was blood. She wasn't sweating she was bleeding. The boy next door had thrown a hose piece over the fence and it cracked her skull open. Our blue car isn't working and James was at church, so I rang Emma and she came and collected us all. I dropped the youngest two at church to sit in the back row and BEHAVE while Daddy preached and took Catie off to hospital. We were there for FOUR hours. They truly are so slow at the hospital.

She had to have 3 stitches but they wanted to use super glue because it is less stressfull for Cate. But surprise the hospital had run out of the glue. Just as the doctor was testing her head for numbness and about to put the needle in to begin the stitching a nurse came bolting down the corrider with the last tube in the entire hospital of the glue. Praise God. Finally she was all glued up, bandaged and sent home. She has to keep the bandage on for three days so guess who will start school with a bandage on her head? Yep thats right. Caitlin. Ah the excitement never ends around here.

I am looking forward to doing this last week of work and taking two weeks off. To get over all this holiday thing. LOL.

I have millions of photos to share and stories too but for now this will do. Hope you all have a great New year with lots of adventure and growth and happiness and joy.
