Merry Christmas everyone. I pray that you have a blessed and special time as you celebrate the birth of our wonderful saviour. I hope you all enjoy your time with family and friends. Take nothing for granted. Let the little things slide.  See you all safe and sound in the New Year when I will be back to blogging.

Charlis 4th birthday party

Charli's birthday seems to have extended over a few weeks but here are the photos from her party last week.
Here is Charli showing how old she is.

Daisy Belle had to have a matching head band for the party. They turned out so cute I was really pleased with them and they didn't take that long to make.

Charli having fun with a friend at the party.

Daisy Belle posing with Ronald.

Caitlin with a pile of tomatoe sauce on her face. LOL. She had a homemade hair band too but in the photo it is in the shadows.

Just chillin with the girls.

Charli's face when she spotted the cake coming.

She really had a lovely time. She is such a sweet girl. I can't believe she is four. Time really flies.

Fun at the park

On Sunday we went out for lunch with my mum and sister to Sizzler. MMMMMM I love that place. I really really do. Anyway...........the kids were fairly restrained for most of the lunch but by the end were very VERY restless and needed a chance to run around. Fortunately for us there was a park right next door. So off we set.

Some headshots that seem to sum up their personalities.
Charli just delightful and sweet and lovely. Most of the time.

Caitlin pretty and shy and eager to please.

Hamish with the personality. If he doesn't go into musical theatre when he grows up I will be shocked.

Bailey, serious and quirky and sensitive.

Charli enjoying driving the ship. Do you drive ships?

Bailey just hanging out.

Hamish pulling a weird face.

Cate looking determined to get to the top.

Yes Daisy Belle came along too. She comes most places with us. Bailey very kindly helped her play on the equipment.

Then he taught her to hang upside down.

All in all a fun fun time.

I swiped this idea from Whimsy girl

I always....
* drink too much Coke

* read two or three books at the same time
* have panadeine and asprin in my handbag
* go to the toilet even if I don't need to before I go anywhere
* have great plans and ideas ( they don't always come to fruition)
* dream about the future
* sing Bohemian Rhapsody very loud and do all the parts and harmonys at the same time

I sometimes.......
*stay in my pj's all day
*have cereal for dinner

*don't answer the telephone if I am doing something I like better
*put my old 80's christian music on and remember the good ole days
*spend money on things that I shouldn't

I never......
*eat tomatoes
*wait to apologise if I have done the wrong thing
*go near big birds if I can help it

*miss an episode of Gilmore Girls. I love that show.
*

Talent Quest Victory

Today was the kids school Talent Quest. Caitlin has been practising for weeks a Hannah Montanna Number - song and dance. Hamish performed in a group Upside down show edition and Bay being in Year 6 wasn't able to perform but was the prop man. They had loads of fun. Here are some fun photos.
Do you love Caitlins blonde wig? We thought it added exta sizzle. LOL

She came first and we were so proud of her. Parents weren't allowed to attend the show because there wasn't enough space with all the building works going on but one mother video'd it and we will watch it on DVD. Cates teacher said she was really good. Didn't make a mistake and was very very confident. Thats my girl.

This one is Bailey looking cool as a Blues Brother.

And of course Charli couldn't miss out so she had her photo taken as Hannah as well.

We didn't get any photos of Hamish for some reason. He came third and was very pleased with himself. So were we.

So now it is holidays time. I will still be working but hopefully get to do some fun things with the kids.

Dusty City

This is what we woke up to on Wednesday morning. The sky was the weirdest color ever. It looked like we had been hit by an atomic bomb or aliens had invaded. But it was a dust storm.

That was the Sydney Opera House in that photo and the visibility was terrible.

We had to take Bailey to school at 6AM for an excursion and it was just eerie. The entire car was covered in a thick layer of dust. After a time you could taste the dust on your tongue and my hands felt constantly dirty. The government announced that all children had to stay indoors for the day, so all schools were held indoors for the entire day.

It was dull and eerie looking all day with enormous winds blowing the dust everywhere. This photo was taken in the daytime. Hard to believe hey?

Then at about 3PM the blue skies came out and it seemed that the wind had blown all the dust away. They say it will come back this weekend. Hope not.

You should have seen the car wash lines in the afternoon.
